On a hot day I prefer to drink: My favourite hot weather drink is Dieu du Ciel Solstice d’éte which is a German inspired sour wheat beer made with fresh raspberries.  Honourable mention goes to Jasper's world class tap water.

My favourite wine and food pairing is: In Winter, I love spending time with family and cooking classic French dishes then pairing with red or white Burgundy. 1er Cru Côte de Beaune reds are my muse right now, excited to begin trying the 2015 vintage to taste what all the fuss is about! In Summer I enjoy smokey BBQ Ribs + BC Syrah or top notch Chard + Bay of Fundy Lobster.  

Greatest beverage experience of my life so far: Megan and I were treated to a 5 course wine pairing lunch at Marchesi Di Barolo during the Nebbiolo harvest of 2013. We experienced the harvest in action then enjoyed pairings of 5 different cru Barolo wines. It was also truffle season which played a role in the cuisine. Italy absolutely nails food and wine hospitality, with a knack for keeping it unpretentious.

My favourite wine and food pairing is: Scallops and chardonnay.

Greatest beverage experience of my life so far: I have had many memorable beverage experiences since meeting Marc, but two stand out for me. The first was on our first date on February 20, 2010. We went to a little tapas and wine bar in Vancouver and each had a glass of Kettle Valley Pinot Gris. We had several incredible appetizers to go with this delightful wine and enjoyed every bite and every sip. In was truly a life changing glass of wine as eight months later I moved to Jasper to live with Marc. Now we are married, own a home together, and have two wonderful children. And we still love Kettle Valley’s pink Pinot Gris! A year after we were married, we were lucky enough to travel through Italy and discover many of their incredible wine regions. We were wined and dined like royalty and had several memorable meals and bottles of wine, but I think the stand out meal for me was a wonderful lunch we had at the Barbi vineyard in Montalcino. We enjoyed delicious pasta and shared the Barbi Brunello in the loveliest little restaurant set amongst the lush vineyard greenery. We had the restaurant to ourselves and felt completely spoiled!
