This delicate vintage is initially matured for 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The whisky is then split equally between three different sherry woods; Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso for a further three years. Aromas of leather, baking spices, chocolate and toasted oak are dominant on the nose, with flavours of marmalade, creamy chocolate and spicy oak on the palate. A long, warm finish with ginger and spice notes.
