Distilled in December 1995 the spirit initially matured in ex-Bourbon Hogsheads. In February 2005, the whisky was re-casked into first use Oloroso Sherry butts and matured for a further 12 years. This bottling is from 3 of those butts and yielded only 2,027 bottles for worldwide distribution. Rich mahogany in colour subtle traces of apples and coconuts from the initial bourbon maturation are combined with sugared almonds, apricots, raisins and a touch of chocolate from the finishing in Oloroso casks, to create a very complex dram with a very rich mouthfeel and a long warming finish. A truly classic Edradour.
